The Making of Harry Potter

As always my weekends are never dire. Apart from celebrating and supporting those who ran the London Marathon on Sunday I had a date with Warner Bros Studio tour to see the making of Harry Potter.

Being a huge Harry Potter fan the day couldnt come quick enough. Located in outer London's Watford Junction with a shuttle bus service taking you directly to the studios, I, as many, waited eagerly with my camera glued to my hand to begin my tour.

To gain the full experience (considering the price of entry) I would highly recommend getting the full package where headsets are included on your tour around the studios giving you extra video insight and interview footage from the makers of Harry Potter and commentary into each area from Tom Felton, the Draco Malfoy of the Potter films. You also receive the official guide with the full package.

It really was a fascinating and good three hours spent seeing the actual props, sets and costumes usd in the films. Opening with a short cinema film with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint introducing the tour and what we will see before entering the Great Hall to start the tour.

I've selected just a handful of the of photo's to share and hope you'll enjoy the experience as much as I did.

Chloe Green's Debut Shoe Collection CJG

If you havent heard yet, it wont be long until you see it. Arcadia boss Phillip Green's daughter is set to launch her first shoe collection under her intials CJG. At just the age of 21, Chloe is certainly following in her father's footsteps. It is said her signature stamp on her collection is inspired by the red soled Louboutins however Chloe's will be pastel Jade soles.

I'm actually really excited to see the new collection and is set for the spring summer colour trends, however I must admit I wont be too excited about the pricing. Each pair ranges between £100-£210, obviously in keeping with the London exclusivity in the store and me still reeking the backlash of being an ex student and currently interning, so It'l just be the images online I'll be gawking at.

However it wont be until 17th May when the collection hits Topshop floors and online so I'm sure from now til then we will see a lot of features behind the collection.

Spring Disney

It's a print that comes around each year with the seasons and the dated appeal is great for the retro style. Sported by many celebrities including Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Kate Moss and Beyoncé, Mickey Mouse still makes his debut.

Whether it's just where I've recently come back from Disneyland Paris and still have the Disney fever (Big Kid) Its that time of year where Mickey prints are creeping back in.
The recent May issue of ASOS magazine bared a full page feature of Mickey trending in this print Sweatshirt.

Looking back key designers have shown a Disney festation on the catwalks dating back to the beginning of the millenium including A.F Vandervorst, Iceberg and Jean-Charles De Castelbajac

Cheryl Cole Dressed in Ramzi Musa!

In the latest shots leaked out of Cheryl Cole filming for her new video 'Call my Name' she is distinctively wearing (which everyone should be familiar with by now) the Ramzi Musa collection for Browns Focus.

Cheryl looks absolutely amazing in Musa's prints. For her comeback video and image change, I cannot wait to see the finished vid.

But Cheryl wasnt the first to strut in Musa prints! Jessie J was spotted wearing the jumpsuit from the collection around this time last year performing on stage.

I met with (and extremely pleased to have done so) Ramzi Musa to discuss and talk about his then latest collection with Browns Focus for my uni project and it is so wonderful to see and proven how well he is doing today. I first came across Musa's work when living and breathing around the Browns house name and as much as Browns have collaborated with other up-coming names, Ramzi Musa prints were the definitive eye catcher.

As it proves a year on from meeting Musa his collection is still peaking and I cannot wait to see what other projects he will release. I give my absolute support and wish Musa more future luck with his work.

Selfridges Womens Designer Galleries

I've recently visited Selfridges London to their new Women's Designer Galleries feature in store.

Not having been to Selfridges in some time, regretably, I was soon reminded by the lavish setting and luxury envrionment to rome around in the best of fashion. Love it.
You literally could walk around Selfridges and be a person who is not necessarily into fashion but can still appreciate just how emmense the building really is. As huge as it looks from the outside, inside does it justice.

Back to the Women's Designer Galleries, which launch mid January this year as well as online, explores a new exciting way to appreciate fashion in a new shopping concept and serene environment.
A Selection of key and top designer talent is carefully curated around a showroom style shop floor, well, without describing it as a shop floor. I have to admit when, I first was learning about the concept I wasnt fully understood exactly how to visualise and understand exactly what the Gallery was until going into store. It really is a must see feature and really makes you appreciate just how great a place Selfridges is representing to designer fashion.

Visit online to view the in the making videos and concept ideas behind the scenes.

ASOS Challenge

ASOS have posted a new competition through Facebook titled Worn to Death Challenge . Quite random but it did make me laugh looking at how bad some wear their shoes.

Facebook fans simply vote by 'liking' the most battered pair.
