Primark AW12 Collection

I am literally so excited for Primark's new AW12 collection to hit stores!

Being a Primark junkie when the craze of more affordable high street fashion came into play I have to admit, the idea fazed out and I havent actually trawled a Primark in quite some time. That will soon change after getting a peek of the new AW12 collection soon to launch.

It seems that magazines are flourishing after the ankle strap heels that are going to be a 'must-have' this season but If anyone knows me I love a Peter Pan collar (or a shirt for that matter) and literally Primark is floricking them in next season. Annoyingly I dont know an exact date so I'm literally going to have to lurk around Primark until that day comes! Look Magazine has given a vague idea it will be later this month so be at the ready as past experiences tells me once its gone...its gone!

Below I have selected the styles I'm going to be buying which regretably is alot! My favourite staple piece from this collection is the Black Sheer stud Collar shirt.

Quintessentially British

With all the Jubilee excitement building up I'm sharing a shot taken from June's issue of British Vogue. I really loved the concept and how its not total declaring the obvious Jubilee festivities. The colour tells all and I love the ballet reference.

I have to admit scouring magazines theres something abit tantilizing about seeing all the nautical style buys and is nice to see something much more slimmed down and actually visually stunning to look at.

Without a doubt British fashion and lifestyle is something to be proud of. Glamour magazine very nicely reminded our fav A-Z of British buys.

W is for Wimbledon

Kurt Geiger AW12 Press Day...Pretty In Punk

Today I had the pleasure of attending an amazing day at the Kurt Geiger AW12 Women's Press Day in their Grafton Street store, London. Being Kurt Geiger's intern, naturally I got the VIP allday attendance.

The collection is absolutely amazing and has so much variety and diffrentiation from the previous SS12 collection. 'Pretty in Punk' is this seasons theme inspired by masculinity fusing with feminine punk. the range varies between the three key brands of Kurt Geiger London, KG and Carvela but viewing the collection displayed amongst a vintage television stage brings together the sub brands as a whole.

A key running theme which really stood out to me was stud-tastic and, to quote, the Slipetto! a definate must buy! being someone who loves a flat and has to choose carefully which type heel to buy into the slipetto has the quality style of the newly flat slipper style with a slim tall heel.

Of course Kurt Geiger is never without the skyscraper platforms introducing all the British traditional combinations you can find. From Brogues, to Brothel Creepers to Chelsea Boots, every style screams elegancy against the rougher edges of punk. A clash of two styles yet looks amazing!

Everything but the dress also combines everything to accessories. Continuing on from the chunky chains and exaggerated zips brings fresher and more practical styles of handbags. Including classic totes and resolving the functionality yet still maintaing the compact bag. A favourite to look for is the 'Sherbert Jazz' showing a contrast of two different textures and the choice of how you want to wear or use the handbag by changing and adapting chain.

I had the most amazing day assisting Kurt Geiger and was pleased to meet and greet many guests who attended from a wide range of publications to see the collection. It was a successful turnout and am so excited for the collection to hit the shops!

The Making of Harry Potter

As always my weekends are never dire. Apart from celebrating and supporting those who ran the London Marathon on Sunday I had a date with Warner Bros Studio tour to see the making of Harry Potter.

Being a huge Harry Potter fan the day couldnt come quick enough. Located in outer London's Watford Junction with a shuttle bus service taking you directly to the studios, I, as many, waited eagerly with my camera glued to my hand to begin my tour.

To gain the full experience (considering the price of entry) I would highly recommend getting the full package where headsets are included on your tour around the studios giving you extra video insight and interview footage from the makers of Harry Potter and commentary into each area from Tom Felton, the Draco Malfoy of the Potter films. You also receive the official guide with the full package.

It really was a fascinating and good three hours spent seeing the actual props, sets and costumes usd in the films. Opening with a short cinema film with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint introducing the tour and what we will see before entering the Great Hall to start the tour.

I've selected just a handful of the of photo's to share and hope you'll enjoy the experience as much as I did.

Chloe Green's Debut Shoe Collection CJG

If you havent heard yet, it wont be long until you see it. Arcadia boss Phillip Green's daughter is set to launch her first shoe collection under her intials CJG. At just the age of 21, Chloe is certainly following in her father's footsteps. It is said her signature stamp on her collection is inspired by the red soled Louboutins however Chloe's will be pastel Jade soles.

I'm actually really excited to see the new collection and is set for the spring summer colour trends, however I must admit I wont be too excited about the pricing. Each pair ranges between £100-£210, obviously in keeping with the London exclusivity in the store and me still reeking the backlash of being an ex student and currently interning, so It'l just be the images online I'll be gawking at.

However it wont be until 17th May when the collection hits Topshop floors and online so I'm sure from now til then we will see a lot of features behind the collection.
